Plagiarism Policy

Journal of Continuing and Development Education (JCDE) is committed to promoting the highest standards of academic integrity and originality in all submissions. Plagiarism, in any form, is a violation of ethical standards and is not tolerated by the journal.

Definition of Plagiarism: Plagiarism occurs when an author uses someone else’s intellectual property—ideas, words, or data—without proper acknowledgment or permission, and presents it as their own work. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Direct copying of text from another source without citation..
  • Paraphrasing or summarizing another person's work without proper attribution..
  • <Self-plagiarism, which is the reuse of significant portions of one's previously published work without citation..
  • Plagiarism Detection and Screening.

All manuscripts submitted to JCDE are subjected to plagiarism detection through reliable software prior to the peer review process. Any manuscript that is found to contain a significant amount of plagiarized content will be rejected outright or returned to the author for revision. The journal also reserves the right to recheck manuscripts at any stage of the editorial process.

Author Responsibilities:Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work is entirely original and that any content derived from the work of others is properly cited. This includes ensuring proper citation for previously published work by the authors themselves. Authors should also ensure that they follow the journal’s ethical guidelines and acknowledge all contributors to their work

Consequences of Plagiarism

If plagiarism is detected before publication:

  • The manuscript will be rejected without further consideration..
  • Authors may be banned from submitting to the journal for a specified period
  • The incident may be reported to the authors' institutions and funding bodies

If plagiarism is detected after publication:

 

  • The published article will be retracted.
  • A notice of retraction explaining the reason for withdrawal will be published in the journal.
  • Authors may face sanctions, including being prohibited from submitting to JCDE in the future.
